This hand-knotted glass nugget and seed bead necklace is one that wants to see you smile. Multicolored seed beads alternate in clusters with glass nuggets in transparent and magical colors: aqua, blue, green, pink, red, yellow, and gold. I have made a series of these necklaces. No two are exactly the same, but they are all very similar to the one shown in the listing photos.

Those glass nugget beads look so yummy and sweet (just like rock candy), but they are NOT edible, and you will want to keep this necklace away from anyone who might want to put it in their mouth—like a baby, a toddler, a child, or a befuddled elder.

I hand knotted the beads with two strands of bonded nylon bead cord. The addition of two slightly-spaced knots between the bead clusters adds a design element, adds to the strength of the necklace, and insures that if for some reason you do break it, you will not have beads launching all over the room. That gives it an advantage over a necklace that is simply strung beads without knotting.

This necklace is approximately 32 inches in length and has a lobster clasp closure. You can wear it long or doubled around your neck in a shorter choker style. It can be worn alone or layered in combination with other necklaces. It would make a cheerful gift for a dear friend or family member. (Or it would be a fun gift just for you.)
